Good point; the first place I lived in London was on Hammersmith Broadway, back in 1998. Then I was off Ladbrook Grove for nearly 10 years. Now live near Willesden.

First match I went to in London was QPR Liverpool. Think it was '89.

My boy was born in Paddington but my girl was born in Queen Charlottes. Hoping to bring her to her first match on Jan 2nd against Naaaarwich.

I lived on the Hallfield Estate in W2 from '68 to '75. Started watching R's in '68 in Div 1, my first match was season's first win v Ipswich (2-1). I was mates with R's defender Ian Watson's brother, went along really just to see Ian play, but was hooked and have followed the R's from near and far since then. Had a season ticket but moved up north with work in 1977. Now Northampton based. Retired early but still get down to LR a couple of times a year, also get to a few away games in midlands and Yorkshire.

Hello Everybody!

Spurs fan in peace, but don't hold that against me!

I'm also very fond of QPR and Rodney Marsh was my favourite player when I was a kid - it broke my heart when he went to Manchester City instead of Tottenham.

Back in the day, I used to go to Loftus Road with my cousin who was a season ticket holder when Spurs were playing away.

I'm interested in all aspects of football and I run a footy stats site which some of you have already linked to over the past few years

www.myfootballfacts.com

I hope you enjoy your season back in the Top Flight and that it's the first of many more.

You're very very welcome. And this board will only benefit from having intelligent discussion with fans from other clubs....

When I think of Spurs, (besides the QPR games- Jimmy Greaves handling the ball in his "goal" at Loftus Road!), I think of course of the Spurs of the 1960s...Of beating Chelsea in the 1967 FA Cup Final. Of Bill NIcholson signing Martin Peters and Ralph Coates and (Roger Morgan) etc, etc, etc. Of Spurs under Venables and Sugar...Etc

Speaking of Roger Morgan, and comparing the players of the 70's to the millionaires of today, back in '73 I worked on a holiday camp on the IOW and one week Roger and his family spent their holiday there! The custom was a weekly staff v campers match and Roger played! Also in the campers' team that week was Johnny (?) Sainty who played for Bournemouth at the time (ex Spurs I think), and a Weymouth FC player. Whether Spurs' insurance company ever found out I don't know, but Roger was on the end of a few hefty tackles! The staff team were seldom beaten, but lost 3-1 that week. Somehow I can't see any current Spurs (or R's) doing what Roger did. I managed to have a quick word with him, nice bloke. I asked him how he felt about making his Spurs debut against Rangers, in the match mentioned above by Macmoish, when Greavsie handled before scoring. Can't remember his reply unfortunately.

Morning everybody (said in my best Richie Benaud voice),

I've been reading the proboards for many, many months now so I thought I'd better do the decent thing and register. You have such a wealth of information on here it is incredible, some of it is absolutely fascinating, and so much I’ve either forgotten or never knew. God bless the internet.

Hi All. Known to all as Lenny. First saw the hoops when they played my home town team Aldershot in a LC game back in 1967.
Now living in Sao Paulo, Brasil and teaching the natives how to speak English proper.
Nowadays can only see the R's on TV although I do get back for a game or two at the start and finish of the season. To get my football fix I now follow the mighty Corinthians down here.

Dax here. Rangers since 1973-4. Season ticket in Ellerslie T Block with son (always) and daughter (sometimes!). Proud to be Jamie Mackie's home shirt sponsor. daxvondrac or Twitter, Darryl Still on Facebook! hundreds of Rangers friends on both. Argumentative blighter on Vital (along with Lenny, and a couple of others), decided to come over here for some peace. Promise to behave.
Coach my sons under 16 side (currently unbeaten in 8 games and 4th in their league) in Wycombe and South Bucks League.
If I have a second side, it'd be Wycombe Wanderers, just cos their ground is 2 miles from my house and 200 yards from where I was born.

Hi all. Born and raised in West London not far from Ladbroke Grove lived for a number of years in Greenford before moving over to Ireland. Now live outside a village called Clonmany. Have been following Qpr since February 1968. My first game was the one mentioned above versus Spurs when Greavsie handled for his goal. Think it was Roger Morgans first game for them as well. Use to be a season ticket holder in Ellerslie Road until the move over here. Get to a couple of games a season when possible. Looking forward to chatting QPR with some proper fans on here!

Saw my first QPR game in 1968, after my dad took over the running of the nut-house that was The General Smuts. Anyone who remembers a couple of huge Irish Wolfhounds being walked around the White City will remember us.

Anyway, my dad gave me and my brother money to go to the football ground and watch the local team. I saw Rodney Marsh and Co. and was hooked. My brother went to the dark side and became a Leeds United fan (God/FSM knows why)

Since then, my life has revolved around QPR and the Green Bay Packers and I'm on to wife No.2, at least she has stuck around for 20 year plus :)

Have two cats and two teenage daughters and frequent Vital QPR.

QPR4ME is a man of many talents. Purchaser of tickets, tour guide, makes sure I dont get lost on the tube. The downside is that he does lead foreign visitors astray before during and after games!
