I won't believe it till it's on the Norwich Official Site... Oh! Norwich Official Site - NAUGHTON SET TO JOIN CITYPosted on: Thu 21 Jul 2011 CITY can confirm Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Naughton is set to join the Canaries on a season-long loan. The 22 year-old began his career with Sheffield United and in 2008 he spent a period on loan with Gretna who were then in the Scottish Premier League. He returned to Bramall Lane and after a number of League Cup outings for the Blades, he made his league debut ironically here at Carrow Road in September 2008 - when a late Lee Croft goal gave the Canaries at 1-0 victory. He soon cemented himself a regular place in the Blades back-four and such were the quality of his performances that he was voted into the PFA Championship Team of the Year come the end of the 2008-09 campaign. After 40 league appearances for the Blades, Sheffield-born Naughton together with Bramall Lane team-mate Kyle Walker joined Tottenham Hotspur in July 2009. Naughton has played Premier League football at White Hart Lane but has found a regular place in the Spurs first team hard to come by. He spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Middlesbrough and Leicester City. For the second time in three years he found himself in the PFA Championship Team of the Year come the end of the season and was also voted Leicester City's Young Player of the Year. City boss Paul Lambert commented: "We're delighted to have secured Kyle's services for the season. He's a quality player who will come in and give the current group a hand as well as providing more healthy competition for places. "He's a pacy player and he's also young and hungry to continue developing his career and we're obviously pleased he's got the chance now to do that with us here at Norwich City." With the highly-regarded full-back taking City's total of summer signings to seven, Lambert confirmed the deal concludes his planned transfer activity in the current window: "We said we were looking for six or seven lads to come in and lend a hand in various positions and it's pleasing we've now managed to do so. Kyle will come in and join his new team-mates on Monday and the whole group can then work together on continuing our pre-season preparations." www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2398696,00.html SPURS OFFICIAL SITECanaries loan for Naughton 21 July 2011 We have reached agreement for Kyle Naughton to join Norwich City on a season-long loan. like i said yesterday , the Teams that finished 4 points and 8 points behind us in the table are much better equipped in the Premier league than us. We are fodder officially and a laughing stock. And another deal that was almost done a few weeks ago?

And another deal that was almost done a few weeks ago? They're even taking the players that we were after from right under our nose. I have some serious thinking to do.

Canaries land Naughton Norwich seal loan deal Norwich City have announced the signing of Tottenham's Kyle Naughton on a season-long loan.
The newly promoted Canaries were one of a number of sides looking to land the 22-year-old full-back.
But they have now confirmed that they have secured a deal with Naughton and he will spend the whole of this season on-loan at Carrow Road.
"We're delighted to have secured Kyle's services for the season," said Norwich boss Paul Lambert.
"He's a quality player who will come in and give the current group a hand as well as providing more healthy competition for places.

so bothroyd was neils throw of the dice,
jays wages must of used up neils wages budget,
i can see neils thinking now, rather blow his meager amount on a striker, and hope we score goals, and by some miracle patch up the defense.
I think we knew this was coming, but i am in complete bewilderment.

The joke of this is, the Norwich fans feel that Naughton will just sit on the bench as they rate there normal right back Russell Martin , he was voted runner up player of the season , if thats the case what a waste. Surely they will have to play him as part of the deal. Naughton made it inot the Champioship team of the season aswell.

While Leicester get John Paintsil (3 year contract). Excellent fullback. Just another one we failed to sign... A free agent.

About August 10, he'll call Warnock into his office and say: Now about those Italians I offered you: "Are you now prepared to accept them?"
