Way to go! Guardian/Stuart James
Carson Yeung's son to be named as a director at Birmingham City • Blues president to appoint 18-year-old son Ryan • Carson on bail after being charged with money launderingIn the latest twist at Birmingham City, Carson Yeung's 18-year-old son, Ryan, is set to be named as a director at the Championship club. Carson, the club's president and controlling shareholder, is on bail after he was charged last month with five counts of money laundering, which he denies. In an unexpected move that will raise eyebrows inside and outside St Andrew's, Ryan will become one of the youngest ever football club board members. It is unclear whether he will have an active role as part of the restructuring that has led to Michael Wiseman stepping down from his role as a director, ending his family's 83-year association with the club at board level. Wiseman will be kept on as an honorary vice-president. Peter Pannu, who was appointed as Birmingham's vice-president when Yeung bought the club in 2009, will also be given a position on the board. www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jul/18/carson-yeung-son-birmingham-city
