Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Italian goalkeeper Generoso Rossi.
The 25-year-old former Bari, Siena and Lecce stopper this morning put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Loftus Road until the end of the season.
The contract also includes an option which would allow Rangers to secure his services until May 2006.
Rossi is currently serving a ban but will be available to play from February 15th and he is delighted to have committed himself to the Superhoops.
"I am hoping to enjoy a great adventure here," he said. "I saw the team against Stoke and I was impressed with what I saw.
"I think we have a great chance of getting in the play-offs and I thought the spirit of the players was excellent.
"I want to get fit as soon as possible and I hope I have a long career with QPR."
Manager Ian Holloway is equally enthusiastic about the signing.
"It's an exciting time," he said. "He wanted to come here and hopefully this will show what we're all about. We want to move forward and get in the Premiership.
"He was a player who signed for £2 million a couple of years ago, so we've got a bargain.
This fellow is as lively as a cricket and I can't wait to see him play for us."

Sky - Rangers to sign Rossi
By Peter ORourke QPR look set to sign former Italy Under-21 goalkeeper Generoso Rossi.
He is currently serving a ban after being involved in a betting scandal in Italy but is expected to start playing for Rangers next month.
A free agent having left Serie A club Siena, Rossi is one of several overseas players to have been targeted by QPR's major shareholder Gianni Paladini.
Rossi is close to being able to return to action after having his ban cut short.
The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) have decided to reduce his one-year suspension by five months enabling him to return to action next month.
But Rangers will not be signing Richard Dostalek who has been on trial at Loftus Road.
QPR had hoped to take the Czech midfielder on loan, but the player's club Rubin Kazan demanded a fee resulting in the London club dropping their interest in the midfielder.
