New Media Journalist - Vacancy

There is an exciting opportunity to join our media team at Chesterfield FC in support of the increasing demand for more news and information about League Two Champions, the Spireites.
As one of the club's media staff you will help provide unique content across all the club's traditional media channels of press, radio and TV, but especially will have responsibility for social networking platforms and digital media services, as well as, helping to provide a helpful matchday experience for visiting media.

Reporting to the Media Manager, this full-time role will see the successful candidate:
· Providing, and assisting with, video reports, interviews, and features concerning the football club, and all its range of activities, for the club's online subscription service Spireites Player
· Managing, and providing content for, the club's ever growing social networking platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter
· Assisting in the Club's public relations work, including writing press releases and supporting organised events
· Ensuring Concourse TV is integrated into the ritual of match day with bespoke programming
This role would suit a recent media graduate - ideally with workplace experience in a football environment - who can demonstrate excellent all-round journalistic ability, technical knowledge and plenty of potential.
As the role involves offering public relations support, you will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of the various issues facing sport, football in general, and Chesterfield FC in particular.
Although a team player with the ability to work under pressure, the successful candidate will need to be self-motivated with good project management skills.
