Sorry but I doubt that is right, the club is meant to be announcing ticket prices on the 11th. If these prices are right then I will be straight down to LR to protest.

This:
On Talk Sport on Tues/Weds they had a QPR fan on who said that even tho they had only sold 4,600 season tickets , they wouldnt let him buy season tickets for him and his lad as they didnt fall into the correct category , so had to buy them 2 weeks apart as he was a re-newing season ticket holder but his under 12 lad wasnt, which meant they couldnt sit together...he had been a season ticket holder for 10 years and had even bought a legacy ticket which now wouldnt be honoured.
That is shameful and disgusting.
A situation that has been highlighted on the boards for the past month.
I though initially it was an oversight and a problem that was overlooked when the scheme was implemented. However the fact that Rangers have not since introduced a way for existing season ticket holders to purchase seats next to them for their family is disgraceful and adds weight to my theory that they want to sell the least amount of the cheapest tickets (season tickets) they can in order to maximise potential revenue from walk ups, the most expensive ticket.
Must be down to their 'astute' business sense as loyalty and respect show up as being worthless on the balance sheet.
I love the way they bought banding into the School End as well. Ridiculous prices not taking into account the fact many away fans have been to Loftus Road before and will compare us to other grounds in London where we come up short.
I expect they will happily segregate the away end so they can get tourists and transient fans in there as well and have one eye on that with those prices.

Only at QPR mark, where fu.cking the customers around could be interpreted as doing things "The Italian Way".

As for the away end, they'll sell all of it to the clubs that take the full allocation and not accept returns. For those that don't they'll do what that did last season, promotions, giveways and late sales. For example, the two Leeds tickets I got late were returns from the BBC, at least one other person on here (name evades me) also benefitted from these late returns. These will doubtless fall into the hands of touts. Paying £52 to go in X block doesn't excite me either when it was £25 last season, disgusting. OK, I could have bought those season tickets yesterday at £34 per game, so my choice. Probably still go to the Adelaide but not go to the game lol ;D

Mark, what is a legacy ticket? I'm assuming it's a marketing bullshit concept bought in by a previous regime that is no longer relevant under the new company's ticket guidelines. I wasn't sure if I had heard of it before or it was something lost in translation as this is someone summing up what he had heard on the radio. Has anyone else bought one in the past? That's not the crux of the post though as it's Ranger's continual shabby treatment of loyal, long term fans that is at fault over recent changes to buying a ticket and not being able to sit with your kids in the seat you've held for years is disgraceful. Seems to be an attempt to keep the best views for walk ups and move those with families out as by the time it comes to being able to buy seats together Bronze will probably be all that's left due to the cap on sales of season tickets.

I obviously wasn't one of them attending. But there were many, many QPR fans who stuck with the club and bought ticketed - even as they plummeted into the Third Division and Administration and held bucket collections. There should be some recognition, some reward, some loyalty reciprocated by the club.

We can't charge more/less for equivalent seats so I presume it will be the same for the Loft....Bargain.

If true, I don't think they've thought it through properly. And would expect a re-think, when vast empty swathes start appearing,

As a mentioned higher up Zed, £52 to sit in X block, £25 last season and that's silver so they are clearly the gold, silver, bronze prices but I think we knew that from the season tickets savings details!!!!

It's fcking outrageous but worse is still to come with the Cat A games. Good point and why it'll be mainly away games for me. My mate and his missus have season tickets but rarely if ever go to away games so I'm using their "superhoop upgrade" for away tickets, at least, that's the plan.

They would have a profit bunch who crunch numbers to squeeze most out of seating, led by some grafter
that Flav likes. Fans are not recognised. These corporatists are always convinced that it will work, and when it doesnt the top guy is told, we are making a change.

The opening game is obviously special. But after that, if I was an away fan who had to pick and choose his games, QPR would be the last of the London clubs to spend my money visiting - as a location. Although if I was an away fan and wanted to see my team win. Then I might choose to see my team play at Loftus Road.
That of course is as July 9. A month from now, we will undoubtedly a much stronger team!
