SSN breaking news now.
PSG make a £13.5m bid for Taarabt
I still think he is worth more.

Mmmm!!!
maybe we've been waiting money from Tarbs sale before spending on new players?

Well out of the £13.5m we would only get £8m due to the sell on to Spurs. Out of that £8m I would guess only about 3 or 4 would actually go towards new players. I want more for him. If PSG are as rich as they now make out to be then we should say £20m or nothing.

True. Same amount as Wickham, doesn't seem right with Tarrabts talent. I'd set the bidding minimum at £30m

Lets hope the club can make a statement as fast as they did yesterday telling us he is not for sale.
Won't happen but you can only hope.

Must be tempting for them to cash in on him given he is unknown in the prem.
I'd love to see what he can do for us in the prem... but would we be happy if we had him for 1 season and lost him on a free (he's only got a year left right?).

Might be time to cash in. Who would we want as a replacement though, Mark Noble?

Thanks Gib.
Worth keeping for a year then - if he's a success then you get your 20mil. If he flops then he's worth the same as we bought him for.

The trouble we have at QPR, is who is spending the money & how & why. I look at it that the more we are potentially going to get for a player, the more trouble we are potentially going to get ourselves in. With the likes of Briatore & Paladini, I can see us getting thrown out of the league, I think its more frightening than exciting. Only at QPR, as they say.

Thing is, he does not want ot play in the French league, been there, done that, doesn't like it.
My worry with Briatore is that he has no choice, like Routledge, the skint tightwad will only see the £ signs!

Adel must be on honeymoon if he just got married, no? So perhaps hold out ask for £20M and meet somewhere in the middle, if he wants to go. No doubt the boy has a rare talent but is totally unproven and a volatile character.

£15 Mill and then SELL SELL SELL. Bring in some new blood. PSG is a far cry from Adels dream of Barca, Real Madrid, Arsenal or the shit down the road!

Good point, let's hope Adel holds out, plays well until January, then he can go to his dream club, mind PSG just got Leonardo as Technical Director, so they have big plans for the future, I think.

I Want to keep Tarbs , his value can only get higher i feel , and it is around 40% sell on to Spuds so if we hold out for 16-17 million at least we can clear 10 million for the Club . Anything less than that figure i wouldnt sell ! 10 mill gives us two quality replacements , could of got O'Hara and similar for that.

Gathering momentum...at least in the media. I bet it happens. At least leaving us this summer. INDEPENDENT PSG bid £13m for unsettled Taarabt – but QPR would only get £8m By Mark Fleming Saturday, 2 July 2011 Paris St-Germain yesterday offered Queens Park Rangers £13.5m for playmaker Adel Taarabt, but the Londoners would only receive £8.1m of the fee, with the rest being owed to Tottenham Hotspur. Taarabt, 22, is agitating for a pay rise at newly promoted Rangers after he was named Football League Player of the Year last season. He has claimed that Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United are all interested in signing him, but the first move has come from France. Paris St-Germain have recently been bought by the Qatar Investment Authority, the investment arm of the Qatari royal family which is also rumoured to be interested in buying Manchester United from the Glazer family. QPR however stand to receive only 60 per cent of any transfer fee for Taarabt, as they agreed to a 40 per cent sell-on clause when the Moroccan moved from Tottenham for £1m a year ago. Taarabt struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane after moving from Lens for £3m in 2007, making a total of just nine Premier League appearances in his three and a half years there. He had spent the 2009-10 season on loan at QPR before making his move to Loftus Road permanent. Tottenham did however wisely insist on recouping a hefty proportion of any future transfers, as they recognised the possibility that Taarabt could start fulfilling his potential. Taarabt last week said he is not prepared to remain at Loftus Road on his current deal. He said: "I helped QPR win promotion but they will not offer me a better contract. They say I am already on big wages. They want me to stay four years on the same terms. But I don't want to sign for four years then after one year I am going to be back in The Championship. "No disrespect, but if we keep the same players, it will be very difficult to stay in the Premier League when you are playing Manchester United and Chelsea." www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/psg-bid-16313m-for-unsettled-taarabt-ndash-but-qpr-would-only-get-1638m-2305527.html

i am beginning to get a little peed of with the Taarabt saga . he's said he would like to play else where , well half of me thinks , sod him let him go , grab the money and concentrate on the players who do want to play of us . But then again ,he is our best player , you know the money we get for him will NOT go in to the transfer kitty . And what players DO want to play for us ? we have not signed any !! Will be interesting start to the season .

If it wasnt that we'd "lose" 40% to Spurs - and who knows what other payments get paid to whom, etc...- And maybe the payment is spread out over time. So Warnock will probably only be given 5 or 6 million - and that will probably be counted as part of his 10 or 15 million

Hopefully get a lot more for him before , if we do sell him then . maybe as others have said , about the 30 mill would be nice .
