Hulse ready for QPR fight after rejecting Millwall Jun 28 2011 By Jacob Murtagh ROB Hulse has snubbed a loan move to Millwall as he wants to stay and fight for his place at QPR. The 31-year-old has scored just twice for Rangers since his switch from Derby County last August, with a new frontman top of boss Neil Warnock's shopping list. But Hulse has vowed to stay at Loftus Road and battle for a spot in the starting XI. His agent Matt Buck said: "Rob is aware of the interest in him but he is focusing solely on QPR at the moment. He wants to play Premier League football. "His priority is to be in the manager’s squad on the first day of the season." www.ealinggazette.co.uk/sport/qpr-ealing/2011/06/28/hulse-ready-for-qpr-fight-after-rejecting-millwall-64767-28955488/?

Blimey, surprised the club didn't force the move on him to be honest.
Hopefully he will play a lot better next season though.

I know some people like Hulse but I thought he was utterly rubbish for us last season, only marginally better than Priskin (who was really really rubbish)

I think theres quita few out there that think he might be able to turn things round and score goals again. You dont become a bad striker overnight , but injury after injury can take affect like we have seen with our dear Rowan. I'm not 100% convinced he would be any better than last year , but a good preseason score loads of goals might give him a newlease of life. Remember Tarbs,Hulse,Orr and Smith missed the pre season last year and Hulse didnt play until practically November. Could still make the 25 ahead of Hewitt , who knows.

Until he joined us, he had a pretty good record. Certainly better (I think) than Helgusons. So who's to say if he does stay, he won't do an ok job for us.
It's true we do currently have the strike team of Helguson, Hulse, Vine, Agyemang and Pellicori...

Exactly on paper one of the weakest strike forces in the top half of last years Championship. Makes you wonder how we won the league !

Football League
Hulse not interested in Hoops exit QPR striker Rob Hulse has no intention of leaving Loftus Road and wants to establish himself as a force in the Premier League, according to the player's agent.Hulse has been linked with a move away this summer but his agent Matt Buck insists he is fully focused on proving his worth in the top flight - a stance that recently saw him reject the chance of joining Millwall."There was an inquiry to QPR and there was an inquiry to Rob to see what his thoughts were on it," Buck told Press Association Sport. "Basically he wants to go back pre-season and try to prove himself to the coaching staff and people at QPR that he warrants a place in the Premier League 25-man squad." He added: "And hopefully the Premier League matchday squad." He added: "Rob is not even considering temporary moves at the moment."With Millwall if the situation changes we told them we would keep them in informed like anybody else. "But his whole 100% focus is to get back, work hard in pre-season, work hard in the friendly games and prove he is worth that place." Hulse penned a three-year deal with QPR when he joined from Derby last summer, but only made 12 starts in the second tier. www.football-league.co.uk/championship/news/20110628/hulse-not-interested-in-hoops-exit_2293322_2383236
