31 years ago.... Another heart-breaking moment (but still not as bad as 1976) Robbed and unlucky Despite having Captain Glen Roeder suspended; Clive Allen injured; Steve Wicks cup tied. Despite being an early goal down to a Glenn Hoddle penalty...STILL QPR deserved to win Hucker Neil Fenwick Hazell Gillard Gregory Waddock Currie Flanagan Mickelwhite Stainrod Sub: Burke

I remember queing up to buy my ticket a couple of days before, must have been in the queue for a good 2 hours. The game doesn't bring back any happy memories. One day I will see us win a cup final...... (don't even get me started on the Milk Cup Final!!)

Hi Andy - not 100% true. While we were certainly the better team in the replay and should have won that game I can't say the same about the first game.
Only Peter Hucker stood between Spurs and a massacre in the first game - and when they finally scored in ET out popped Terry Fenwick with a goal from basically our first real chance. To be honest we were lucky to get the replay but having done that we certainly made the most of that replay - even if our luck had finally run out.
I do feel that in the replay Hoddle did make a meal out of Tony Currie's challenge and that it happened outside the area not in it. And let's not foregt the shots going off the bar or forcing Spurs to make blocks off the line. It was just one of those days where we could still be playing now and we still wouldn't be destined to score.
Let's just say that luck worked in both ways over the 2 games and that QPR acquited themselves over the course of those 2 games. Certainly one of my proudest moments of being a QPR fan.
