Think he's been rumoured before THE MIRROR .Promoted QPR target Rangers defender for Prem campaign - Exclusive Published 23:15 01/05/11 By Alan Nixon QPR boss Neil Warnock wants to sign Rangers and Algeria World Cup centre half Madjid Bougherra for the Premier League. Warnock has been watching Bougherra since he got back into Walter Smith’s SPL side after injury and knows that the SPL giants will sell at around £1million. Bougherra, 28, is keen to return to England after a lengthy spell in Glasgow and Warnock thinks his pace and skill would be an asset for his defence. The QPR chief plans to sign around half-a-dozen new faces and Bougherra could be quickly wrapped up in a couple of weeks - after he has helped in the chase for the title with Celtic. Bougherra, who played for Crewe, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton in his previous spell in England, has improved with age and would boost Rangers in their big-time adventure. Warnock may make a personal check on Bougherra before the end of the season, but his chief scout watched him turn in an effortless display against Motherwell at the weekend. Scottish giants Rangers will sell Bougherra as he is one of their top www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/QPR-transfer-news-Neil-Warnock-targets-Rangers-defender-Madjid-Bougherra-for-Premier-League-campaign-Exclusive-article730764.html#ixzz1L97iiDln Sign up for MirrorFootball's Morning Spy newsletter Register here

And the Daily Mail Ipswich determined to hold on to Bullard as QPR eye bid for revitalised midfielder By Mel Henderson Ipswich face stiff competition from Barclay's Premier League-bound Queen’s Park Rangers for the services of midfield star Jimmy Bullard. The London side have been tracking Bullard on a regular basis during his time on loan at Portman Road from Hull City, where he still has two years of his £45,000-a-week contract to run. He was crowned the Ipswich fans’ Player of the Year on Saturday after scoring five goals in 16 games and boss Paul Jewell has confirmed his interest in signing Bullard on a permanent basis. Back with a bang: Jimmy Bullard has rediscovered his form at Ipswich But QPR, who had Bullard watched again at the weekend, can offer top-flight football and boss Neil Warnock is not facing the same budget constraints as Jewell, who admits it will not be easy to complete a deal. Jewell said: 'We’d love to have Jimmy here, although I’d also like have Lionel Messi here. But they’re quite expensive and I don’t know who’s on more money, Jimmy or Messi. 'It is a very, very difficult deal for us to do. I think the owner deserves great credit for doing what he’s done so far. Tears of pain: Bullard's time at Hull was badly hampered by injury 'I’ll be speaking to Hull over the next week or two to see if we can sort something out for next season. 'Obviously the supporters love him. He’s been really good for us and we’d like to have Jimmy, plus four or five other players, for the start of next season.' Jewell would happily consider an extension to Bull www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1382705/QPR-Ipswich-want-Jimmy-Bullard.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Oh please god not Bullard, anyone but Bullard. Yes he may have some Prem experience but he is far past his best, which still wasn't that good.

Isn't Bougherra on a free after not signing a contract? Oh actually he has one year left and wants away, they are in financial crises and a bid far less than £1m could prize him away. However would he be good enough for what we need? And Bullard? ? Crazy talk.

I'd be 100% behind any Neil Warnock signing regardless of who it is, he deserves that kind of backing after who he brought in last summer & how well that all worked out.
I'd be 100% against any kind of GP involvement in any transfer activity whatsoever.

Or even.... www.caughtoffside.com/2011/05/03/qpr-identify-12m-arsenal-striker-as-first-premier-league-signing/QPR Identify £12m Arsenal Striker As First Premier League Signing by Jack Atchinson on May 3rd, 2011 Emirates star wants to join Loftus Road friends and kick start career in England. Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock is hopeful of bringing £12million-rated Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh to Loftus Road this summer. The 27-year-old has had a mixed first season in English football, following a successful start he has struggled to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League. The Moroccan international has scored seven goals in 26 league games but has seen his status fall behind Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner in the Gunners’ pecking order. Sources from inside Qpr say both sides are keen on the deal with boss Warnock keen to add firepower to his squad and Chamakh happy to join up with international team-mate Adel Taarabt. The two friends are often seen out together in London and would love to link up on the pitch as well as off it. Warnock believes Chamakh would be a great addition as he aims to keep Qpr in the Premier League. Rangers secured top flight status for the first time in 15 years last Saturday but celebrations could be delayed until after the Football Association’s verdict on the Alejandro Faurlin case. The club is being investigated over allegations of irregularities into his transfer in 2009 from Argentinian club Instituto de Cordoba, which could lead to a points deduction. www.caughtoffside.com/2011/05/03/qpr-identify-12m-arsenal-striker-as-first-premier-league-signing/

Or Taarabt to Real Madrid! www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/862199-real-madrid-ready-surprise-move-for-liverpool-target-adel-taarabtMETRO Real Madrid ready surprise move for Liverpool target Adel Taarabt Real Madrid could be set to trump Liverpool and Manchester United to the signature of QPR sensation Adel Taarabt. . QPR's Adel Taarabt is a man in demand after an impressive season (PA) ..The Rangers ace has become one of the hottest properties in Europe after almost single-handedly guiding the west Londoners to promotion with 19 goals and a string of dazzling displays. Taarabt was linked with a move to United before he joined QPR from Tottenham last summer, but it seemed Liverpool had moved to the front of the queue for the Moroccan schemer. Damien Comolli, now at Anfield, was the man responsible for bringing Taarabt to England in 2007, and with the Reds desperately seeking a creative spark for next season, Liverpool's director of football was rumoured to be gearing up to pounce once again. But Real’s reported interest could change everything, with the forward allegedly telling his team-mates that he's on Jose Mourinho's radar. The 21-year-old is known to believe that he’s destined for the big time, and a switch to the Bernabeu may be too tempting to resist for the headstrong playmaker. Rangers will be desperate to keep hold of their captain as they prepare for life in the Premier League, but a big-money offer may force their hand, meaning former club Spurs would be in for a bumper cash injection. Harry Redknapp sold his starlet to the Championship side for just £1miilion with a massive sell-on fee inserted into the deal, so Spurs could be entitled to as much as 50% of any future transfer. Meanwhile, Taarabt has urged the FA not to punish the team over seven counts of wrongdoing relating to the signing of Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Faurlin in 2009. 'It would destroy me and it would destroy my team-mates,' said Taarabt on the possibility of a points deduction. 'We have not cheated. We have played every match with 11 v 11 players on the pitch. We never did anything wrong. 'If there are problems with things upstairs then surely that it is to do with them, not the team. 'It would be a disaster for every player. But what can we do? 'We have done our best. We have won the Championship. If the FA take that away, I will still tell people I am a champion . www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/862199-real-madrid-ready-surprise-move-for-liverpool-target-adel-taarabt

If you spent some time reading this board, rather than posting link to your own website you will realise this has been covered - and likely to be BS.
I am happy to go through to your website if its a new and interesting story - not for something which was covered hours ago

Can you rename this thread please because what with the whole FA hearing, people are going to think your saying a £12 mill fine. Slightly misleading.
Although on the matter at hand, as much as I highly doubt we would spend that much on a player, it would be an absolutely fantastic signing, especially because of his connection with Tarbs. I have no doubt he is a great goalscorer who hasn't had much of a chance at arsenal.

For starters I'll move it to the existing thread re this story.
One of the hopes of this board (besides hoping people will actually read the board) is that people will where possible, post to existing threads on a subject. It makes everything much more manageable.
