 Reasons for going up
« Thread Started on Apr 4, 2011, 12:15pm »

Thought I'd start a positive thread on why we should go up. I know some - and I do agree with their argument too, suggest the family, the atmosphere may be lost in return for the dosh.

Let me say right here right now my QPR Soul brothers. If we even went to the non leagues, I'd still support the hoops from here.

Anyway my reasons for why we should go up...

1] Do it for Jamie - as my sig suggests. His efforts and attitude typify what I want in a QPR player

2] Do it for Neil Roberts - A dear friend to many and whom deserved to be here if and when we make it. I miss ya Neil.

3] Do it for Daphney Biggs - QPR mother, long lost friend to some. I miss her too.

4] Do it for Neil Warnock. not liked by a lot until he came here and got a team playing good football and winning football. Converted a lot of fans in his favour.

5] Do it for the team. Their hard graft has reap rewards thus far. Sometimes in style, sometimes hard earned.

6] Do it for the rest of us fans, some whom have seen near success, some whom have only ever known the Championship and Div.1 And some fans from the 40's, 50's and 60's (And even earlier) whom have given a fair proportion of their lives and loyalty to the club and not jumping from team to team.

7] Do it because the EPL need another exciting team like Blackpool in the league. Not that it's won Blackpool too many games but they have gone for it, their fans have won a lot of respect and the team has had the odd great result. Hopefully we'll do better if we make it.

8] Do it for the media. Constantly telling everyone money bags QPR have bought their success ad if we get up there, they will see, we've done it on a shoestring budget, not the spend fest that our owners personal worth might suggest.

Add...

Do it because ...

If we don't, we may well be screwed, financially

If we don't do it this season, next season, we probably wouldnt either

If we don't, player/manager upheaval

If we don't go up, we may well go down....You're either moving forward or you're slipping back. Rare to just stand still...

If we go up, maybe the club will realize they need a First Class Set up off the Field, with professionals.

If we go up, if we're careful (which we may not), could be well set ...

Premiership is crying out for class....!

"..I also find it insulting that qpr-reports site are asking so many questions. They seem to want to know everything that goes on at the club..."

Weavie come on my boy , you can't go round saying Neil is our greatest Manager , i have only been following the Hoops since mid Seventies and theres 2-3 already that achieved much more !
Or how shall i put this ,without getting clobbered , more matured
and experieced Messageboarders would probably say 5/6 better Managers.
Dont get me wrong doing a fantastic job but lets give him 2 years
in the Prem before we give him Lord status!

Great post Lone , and do it for all those reasons apart from EPL we dont do them a special favour they should just be honoured a Club with our history is in there ! ;)
Spot on with 1,2,3,4,5,6 AND 8 though there all fantastic reasons to go up and if i could add;
Do it for our younger generation of Fans , so they can taste what its like to watch your team playing in this League some of these kids have been going for 10 years + supporting with there dads and grandads and they deserve this day when it comes !
We are QPR !
