New Training Facility Unveiled
Thu 31 Mar 2011
Construction work has been completed on a new state-of-the-art training facility at the Nottingham Forest Academy.
The £1.5million building is the first phase of a planned three-stage redevelopment of the Academy, which is used by both Forest's first team and the club's highly-acclaimed youth development arm.
Among the facilities in the new building are a gym, treatment/medical rooms, a canteen and leisure area, team meeting suite and offices for use by manager Billy Davies and his coaching staff.

The building also provides the senior players with their own dedicated changing facilities and lockers for the first time as well as similar facilities for the coaching staff.
Finance Director John Pelling, who oversaw the building project, said: "Billy is renowned for his professionalism, particularly when it comes to preparing for games, which has been evident in his time with us.
"We wanted to give him the utmost support and we believe the new building with its dedicated facilities for the first team does just that.
"By not having to share office and changing facilities anymore both the senior and academy departments will be able to operate more effectively and efficiently in the future.
"Billy has been particularly supportive of the project and has played a hugely significant role in this first phase of the redevelopment work."
Work on the building, which has a gross internal floor area of 810m², got underway in June of last year and was completed to timetable in eight months by local builders Clegg Construction under the guidance of two of the region's leading professional firms - Benoy as architects and Maber Project Planning - who have advised the club throughout both the planning and building phases to ensure that the new facility delivers the environment that Davies and his team want.
