"If I can inspire just one or two to get involved in football at any level of the game it will have been a success to me.
"Football not only helps you to stay fit and healthy but it can also take you all over the world."
The centre-back, who was born in Birmingham, represented England at youth level but is a senior Pakistani international.
After ten years in the British game. including spells at Brighton, Norwich, QPR and Blackpool, he last month signed for Thai Premier League Champions Muangthong.
"You never know, we may even take some of the boys over to Thailand for a visit in the future" he said.
Irfan Kawri who is Head of PE at KD Grammar and also a coach and scout at Rochdale, said: "British Asians are clearly under-represented in all aspects of sport from the grass roots level to the professional game.
"Football is massive in England and the students were really excited to meet Zesh and hear about his experiences and his career."
