Royals move for Wright-Phillips Striker in talks over move 8th January 2011
Skysports.com understands Reading are closing in a move for Plymouth striker Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Wright-Phillips was left out of the Plymouth squad to face Bournemouth in their League One fixture on Saturday to fuel speculation over his future.
Blackpool are believed to have had a bid rejected for the former Southampton man earlier this week and now Reading have jumped to the head of the queue for the 25-year-old.
Reading are keen to bolster their attacking options in this month's transfer window and they are thought to have had a bid accepted for Wright-Phillips with the player set to hold talks with the Championship club.
Plymouth are resigned to losing Wright-Phillips due to their financial problems having already sold Craig Noone and Reda Johnson this month.
