Somerset Standard ".... Yate Town boss Dave Mogg has made a bid to bring Michael Meaker to Lodge Road.Mogg moved quickly for the former QPR and Bristol Rovers star after his release from Mangotsfield United last week.
"We've tabled an offer for Michael and are just waiting for him to decide what he is going to do," said Mogg.
"He is someone with vast experience, who has played in the Premier League. When somebody of that ilk becomes available, you do whatever you can to try to get him."Mogg hopes Meaker may sign in time to face a Frome Town side who are on an 11-game winning streak. Yate have lost defender Tom Warren to local Division One South & West rivals Almondsbury Town." Mogg is in talks with Bath City over taking defender Sekani Simpson on loan to cover for Warren's departure." www.thisissomerset.co.uk/sport/Mogg-pursues-Meaker-ahead-Frome-tie/article-3020357-detail/article.html
