The Championship side has activated a 24 hour recall clause in the 18-year-olds loan deal at Roots Hall. German made seven appearances for Paul Sturrock's side, scoring one goal against Macclesfield Town in the FA Cup. If he's been left out, he's not getting the chance to play. Presumably the reason he was loaned was to get the chance to play. Here endeth the lesson?

The striker scored just once in seven games while at Roots Hall. But he has now returned to Queen’s Park Rangers. “It’s been very diffuclt for Antonio to come in, especially as he’s only 18-years-old,” explained Blues boss Paul Sturrock.
“He’s shown some great skills during his time here and there will be a player in there but it’s difficult to get him a regular slot with the situation we’re in.
