Non-League Daily PACQUETTE SPECULATION MOUNTS AS BERNARD GOES18/02/2009 Speculation is mounting that hot-shot striker Richard Pacquette will leave Blue Square South club Maidenhead United later this week.
Pacquette (pictured), who has scored sixteen goals in only twenty-six games this season, is expected to sign for Blue Square Premier side Histon. Magpies` manager Johnson Hippolyte expects that Pacquette's performance at Braintree Town on Tuesday night was probably his last in a Maidenhead shirt, adding: "Nobody deserves another chance at the higher level more than Richard." Meanwhile, Narada Bernard has signed on a permanent basis for Bishop`s Stortford following a successful loan spell at Woodside Road. Bernard, who joins fellow ex-Magpie Grant Cooper on the Blues books, signed for Maidenhead from Weymouth almost a year ago. The left-back, who Hippolyte describes as "a pleasure to manage", went onto make twenty-one full appearances for the Magpies and a further three as sub. Young defender Tom Baddeley has moved to British Gas Business Southern League Division One South & West side Burnham on loan. Baddeley, who arrived at York Road in the summer from Brentford, has already had a spell in the Southern South & West this season with Bracknell Town. Since returning from the Robins, Baddeley has made his full Maidenhead debut and is seen by Hippolyte as having "a big part to play at the club". www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?newsmode=FULL&nid=55719

Magpies to lose top striker By Matthew Sadler www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/goalpost/s/2045490_magpies_to_lose_top_strikerFebruary 20, 2009 Maidenhead United could be set for life without top scorer Richard Pacquette after Blue Square Premier side Histon made a move for the former QPR player. Pacquette has scored 16 times in just 26 games for Magpies this season and seems set to leave the Blue Square South club who are looking to cut their costs. One player who has definitely left York Road is Narada Bernard. He has signed on a permanent basis for Bishops Stortford following a successful loan spell. Young defender Tom Baddeley has moved to Burnham on loan.
