No arrests reported...
(In fact in the case of Olga Paladini, not even any media reports of the attack)
And in the case of Mr. Ecclestone, I would have thought the police would have made an extra effort (Obviously they shouldn't play favourites, but doesn't mean they don't) - or maybe even friends of Mr. Ecclestone!
And of course nothing on the QPR Official Site, not even "Best Wishes/Thanks for the concern" Type comments)

I have to say, the silence in itself has to raise questions of what sort of investigation is going on. Are the two related for example?

Nor any offer of a reward for information leading to conviction...

Theorectially Fans could always band together and offer rewards assuming the Paladinis or Ecclestone didn't object
BUT a) the amount raised would unfortunately probably be rather smal and hard to raise - and obviously could easily be offered if they wanted to by our owners (although would have been a nice touch of solidarity)
and b) there might be issues of whether you can offer a reward without police approval. Not sure of the process re compaints and charges and rewards etc

And making lemonade out of lemons...MIRROR
F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone's bruises feature in watch ad Swiss watchmaker Hublot's ad shows Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone sporting a black eye. Ecclestone was recently mugged in London where four men punched and kicked him to the ground and took his jewelry. The battered face of Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone features in a new advertisement for a Swiss watchmaker. Ecclestone was mugged by four attackers and robbed of his watch and jewelry worth 200,000 pounds ($315,000) in London last month. The design released Tuesday shows a photograph of Ecclestone with a black eye and scratched face — provided by the F1 chief himself from a mobile phone — being used in ads for the Hublot brand. "He said, 'please use it to make an advertising campaign because I want to show that I'm courageous,'" Jean-Claude Biver, the watchmaker's chief executive, told The Associated Press. "I thought, wow, this guy has some guts." The tag line quotes Ecclestone as saying: "See what people will do for a Hublot." The ad also says the Geneva-based firm "condemns all forms of violence and racism." Biver said that his friend Ecclestone showed "a kind of British humor" and defiance by supplying the picture for free and suggesting the ad campaign. "It is also a protestation against violence that we are all afraid of today," Biver said in a telephone interview. "Some years ago we thought this would only happen in Brazil or the Latin countries. Now suddenly it comes to London, to Paris, everywhere." Biver said the advertisements will run for three days this week, featuring mainly in the Financial Times newspaper. Hublot is the official watch supplier of F1. www.usatoday.com/sports/motor/formula1/2010-12-08-ecclestone-watch-ad_N.htm

You have to respect the guy for that. Fair play to him. Also think it makes for a great advert.

When the official site is mentioned, one wonders actually what goes on the official site. Or is it consulted out, ie what they decide he decides who decides should be publicised is what is official.
There have been things on the official site that are non events, didnt happen.
I dont think we can hold the official site to any standards, since they never publish a comprehensive description of what and how it is put together and what information is relayed, i.e a precis of what news is covered, isnt covered.
Can we hold them to a level of "accuracy and breadth of news?
Corporations introduced there own official news to media, businesses, Only the news that wont be seen to damage their position in the market place. Which means no errors , mistakes, ambiguities, and lots of pretense. To keep as much secret as possible. By ay chance have we fallen under that umbrella. I use the word we careleesly, as the fans are not considered part of the corporation. Should be they.

I liken the Official website to NOTW - Lots of half truths, stories that should be commented on are not and we get crap no one wants to know about, appearing. Did the Paladini gome invasion get mentioned? Did it not! It would be nice to know how Mrs Paladini is recovering, if any suspects have yet been collared. and Ditto for Bernie.
