As it is the Rangers Supporters Club 75th anniversary here are some bits from the the 1935-36 season handbook
The QPR Supporters Club formed in 1935 and headed by Mr H. Barringer and Mr H. W. Hughs raised a grand total of £32. 14s. 11d. which was handed over to the Club. Which helped to pay for public address equipment inside the ground.
Barringer and Hughs went on to become Vice - Presidents of the supporters club.
For the 1935-36 season Rangers had a new Secretary-Manager William Birrell and the club said.
We welcome Mr William Birrell amongst us, and in wishing his efforts every success we merely ask something for ourselves. He comes to us after a sourjourn at Bournmouth for four and a half years and has a reputation of making something out of nothing.

A bit more from that season.
The ground staff have had a busy close-season adding to the comfort of our regulars. Much of the terracing has been rebuilt, thus providing a better rake, while those regulars behind each goal will now find themselves a few feet further back.
The home dressing room has now direct communication with the playing field which will obviate that sometimes unpleasant parade amongst the spectators in getting to and from the pitch

I wonder what year Daphney Biggs joined it? She seemed to be there forever!

I wonder what year Daphney Biggs joined it? She seemed to be there forever! Daph joined in the early Fifties with her husband. In the those days there was a ladies section of the Supporters club. Where they organised jumble sales and the to raise money for the club. I will see if I can dig out a pic of Daph sitting with ladies commitee.
