BBC - Brady re-arrested in fraud probe Karren Brady was arrested on suspicion of a new offence Birmingham City FC managing director Karren Brady has been re-arrested as part of an inquiry into conspiracy to defraud and false accounting.
The 39-year-old answered bail earlier and was questioned by City of London Police officers, BBC Home Affairs Correspondent Danny Shaw said.
She was arrested on suspicion of a new offence and later released on bail.
Ms Brady was previously arrested in April 2008 along with the club's co-owner David Sullivan.
City of London Police said those arrests were over allegations of false accounting and conspiracy to defraud and were part of an "ongoing investigation into football corruption".
Mr Sullivan was not required to answer bail on Tuesday.
In a statement, the police force said six people were on bail as part of the inquiry.

And from the Birmingham Chairman
Birmingham Official Site
STATEMENT FROM CHAIRMAN DAVID GOLD
It is completely wrong that our Managing Director has been picked on and singled out. For the complete avoidance of doubt I want to make this 100% clear that, as we stated before, this matter is all about PAYE and NIC on two players from 2002 and 2003, and absolutely NOTHING has changed. The figures alleged to be involved are not substantial and not material to the company.
The club employs highly respected accountants and auditors and has always provided them with complete access to their accounts and other financial information. The club believe that it would be more appropriate that questions about financial matters be directed to them.
It is utterly wrong that this highly professional businesswoman has been made a victim in a witchhunt against football.
Both David Sullivan and Karren Brady were originally interviewed in August 2007, re-interviewed in April 2008 and are now bailed until June 2009. They have had these matters hanging over them for 22 months. This seems contrary to natural justice and puts two people with life threatening medical conditions under prolonged pressure.
They have answered every question put to them and both vehemently deny any wrongdoing.
During the last 10 years alone Birmingham City FC have made payment to HMRC of approximately £70 million and takes its financial responsibilities seriously.
David Gold, Birmingham City FC chairman

She spoke highly of Cipriani's and the whole boutique experience at QPR. Best she had experienced at any football ground. So much so, she completely forgot about the result.
