Talksport QPR to re-sign Spurs youngster on loan By Julian Bennetts Friday, October 8 QPR will re-sign Tottenham youngster Kyle Walker on loan this week. And the deal will be classified as a 'youth loan', meaning it is a rolling deal that could run until the end of the season.
But as part of the agreement Spurs would be able to recall the 20-year-old at any time.Walker joined the Championship leaders on a one-month loan deal in September, but that expires after the international break. And Neil Warnock is desperate to keep the defender, who started every one of QPR's games during his initial stay at Loftus Road. It is also thought that Walker is keen to extend his stay with QPR as he will be given the chance to play regular first-team football. But one potential problem with the youth loan agreement is that it will expire on Walker's 21st birthday, which is on May 28 next year. And with the Championship play-off Final not until May 30 there is a chance Walker could miss the big game if Rangers reach the Final at Wembley. www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/football-league/1665/2/qpr-re-sign-spurs-youngster-loan

Great news if true, and whilst the play off final is two days after the youth loan ends, i hope we dont need to worry about play offs.

Fantastic news , would've been a shame if we'd seen the last of him in hoops. Also a Cypriot Leeds fan is saying on 606 that Giorgios Tofas is going to get a deal, and he's raving about him! We'll see.

Wouldn't worry about the Play Off Final cause we are going to win the league Walker best RB at QPR since David Bardsley.

And jointly from Teaar and Warburton Warnock wants to keep Spurs star at QPR Gazette - Oct 11 2010 By Yann Tear and Paul Warburton NEIL Warnock wants to extend Kyle Walker’s loan spell at QPR - despite the manager originally insisting it would be only be for a month. But such is the instant impact of the full back’s spell at Loftus Road, the Rs manager is ready to backtrack while ruffling a few feathers in his own camp at the same time. The manager was adamant there would be few or no loan players on board this season after having to contend with seven when he joined last April. And Warnock assured Bradley Orr he would reclaim the right-back spot after his recovery from injury, but now sees the hugely successful Walker taking someone else’s place instead. “Kyle’s a great player who can play at left back, or in Shaun Derry’s position, or at centre back, so he’s got a few strings to his bow," said Warnock.“It would be nice to have him on board."It will be up to Spurs manager Harry Redknapp to decide Walker’s immediate future. “I’ve spoken to Harry and we would like to extend the loan deal," Warnock added.www.uxbridgegazette.co.uk/west-london-sport/qpr/2010/10/11/warnock-wants-to-keep-spurs-star-at-qpr-64767-27446714/

I've only seen the lad once, in his first home game, but I can't say I thought he was THAT good. Played well, yes, but I'm not raving like most people here. Someone explain it to me please?

I've only seen him once, & that was watching the Palace game online, but to be honest, he stood out for me, he looked GOOD to me, a "proper" modern fullback & exactly what we have been missing IMO. Its a big boost to us the longer we can keep him & good for the player as well IMO.

If all fails ask for Naughton instead ! ssn Portsmouth have been left frustrated in their efforts to land Kyle Naughton and are now looking elsewhere.
Steve Cotterill had been hoping to land Spurs ace Naughton on a short-term loan, but has seen inter-club politics scupper his attempts.
With the two sides still at loggerheads regarding an unpaid £1m sell-on clause surrounding Asmir Begovic, relations between the pair have soured.
That has forced Cotterill to re-enter the transfer market as he looks to bring a new right-back on board.
Youngster Joel Ward has impressed in the position so far this term, but a more experienced head would be preferable.
Cotterill is confident that he is close to landing a new recruit, although he has stopped short of revealing the identity of the man in question.
Contingency plans
He told The News: "Kyle is still somebody I would like to have. But I need to be making contingency plans because of what's going on between the clubs.
"There is a political position there that is difficult for Tottenham as well, which I appreciate.
"So we might have to move somewhere else short-term, for a month, and then maybe see what happens in a mon time.
"I have made one call, the manager is happy about it, the player wants a little bit of time to think about it, which is fair enough because he probably just got pulled out of the blue.
"He will come in for a month initially and if he does well it might be for a bit longer."
