And sadly we know that post-QPR things didn't really improve.

LEON'S CAREER AT RANGERS IN THE BALANCE
RANGERS boss Gerry Francis has revealed his anger at the behaviour of Welsh under-21 international Leon Jeanne.
Francis said: "At the moment, he's been missing for six days and no one knows where he is or what he's doing.
"It is not unusual for Leon to go missing. He's got quite a colourful record really. We've covered up for him for quite some time now. He had some major domestic problems last year, which I won't go into. We really stood by him and helped him.
"But he keeps going missing all the time. He's got a record as long as your arm for that at Rangers and for other things I can't even talk about.
"When I first arrived back at Rangers, I brought Leon from the youth team into the first team squad along with Richard Langley. Leon's got some tremendous ability.
"I spoke to Leon in pre-season this year and said we would start afresh with him. I encouraged him to get into the squad and we started him off on the subs' bench in the first team. Hopefully, he was going to play a part in the side. He's a talented boy and a boy I like.
"Then just before an important game, we find out he's in Wales and he's been charged with drink-driving and threatening behaviour to police officers. That is just before a game! That is letting everybody down.
"Now we've had another disappearing act. I don't know whether he's in Wales or where he is. Really, it is just not good enough for the club - who he is letting down. And I feel let down.
"It has been outrageous. You don't even get a telephone call from him half the time. You just don't see him and that's it. This is certainly not the behaviour of a professional footballer.
"Obviously we will have to look at this most recent escapade in a very serious light. The directors at Rangers are all very disappointed with this situation. They've known Leon's record for some time. So we will have to have a serious discussion about the situation - if and when he ever turns up.
"We've covered up for Leon enough now. This is not a one off. I think the club needs to put the record straight. Leon is a silly boy because he has a great opportunity as a professional footballer to earn a fantastic living. At the moment, he's really wasting it."
