Millwall have handed out a five-year ban to the pitch invader who chased after Watford’s Lloyd Doyley (pictured right) during their hugely surprising 6-1 home defeat on Saturday.
The man, who is reported to be a member of the armed forces, jumped the security barrier at the New Den before chasing Doyley, who evaded the hooligan before Millwall player Neil Harris and stewards dragged the fan away down the tunnel.
The man, who has yet to be named, continued to scuffle with a section of Millwall fans as he was led away, which has resulted in a 41-year-old man being arrested for assault. The club will also file a report to the FA, who are set to investigate the arrests in the latest hooligan incident to involve the Lions. ...
