Roberto Martinez says Wigan can turn a corner against Spurs now their future isn't orange
Roberto Martínez says Wigan will not suffer a repeat of their 9-1 defeat at Tottenham when they return to White Hart Lane on Saturday after blaming the club's lurid orange away kit for last season's humiliation.

Wigan travel to north London after suffering 4-0 and 6-0 home defeats against Blackpool and Chelsea this season.
But their form away from the DW Stadium last season was woeful, with the bright orange kit being worn not only for the Tottenham defeat, but an 8-0 hammering at Chelsea, 4-0 defeats at Bolton and Portsmouth and a 3-0 loss at Manchester City.

Yet with his players set to return to the scene of the club's heaviest Premier League defeat, Martínez claims they will be stronger mentally as a result of the club's decision to replace the orange strip with a new all-black away kit.
Martínez, echoing Sir Alex Ferguson's complaint about Manchester United's infamous grey kit, said: "We haven't got the orange kit anymore. We always blamed the orange kit for our away performances last season. We never won a game with it.
"I guarantee that, with our new black kit, we will never repeat the experiences we had with the orange one.
"We tried to get rid of it during the season but couldn't because of the rules.
"We played at Chelsea in the orange kit as well on the last day. We tried not to play in orange, but we were told we had to because Chelsea play in blue as well.
"If I have kept an orange kit, it's only because I want to burn it! But mentally, we are in the right frame of mind if we're not playing in orange – that's quite clear!"
Martínez, who has agreed a fee with Birmingham for the sale of French winger Charles N'Zogbia, claims that Tottenham is the ideal venue for Wigan to kick-start their season.
He said: "After what's happened, White Hart Lane will be the perfect ground to be tested and see if we have learned any lessons. It's going to be the perfect test for us.
"Yes, the scoreline will always be there in the record books and it is painful.
"In life it is very easy to fail but it's about how you react."
