You want to criticize/make snide comments about me - or even my fellow moderators Fine. (And see the response!). You want to argue your point of view. Absolutely fine. But please don't try and deliberately post personal comments about fellow posters to try and elicit responses. It's simply not the purpose of this board. And presumably not why most people post or read here. All posters eligible to post are welcome here. And hopefully you enjoy posting here. Everyone on occasion loses their cool and debates sometimes heated. (Some more than others - We understand that). It's especially egregious if the posts are far and few between and then seemed intend to elicit certain reactions. Thank You - and of course Onwards and Upwards

Well said! I joined this site to join in the comments on the message board about our team, and all this garbage from people slagging each other off bores the backside off of the rest of us! We don't know who these people are, and have no interest what-so-ever either, so give it a rest cos it's a waste of everuone's time! Nuff said.

I have posted the 'TRUTH' on here, and continue to finish the piece I started. As you know, it hasn't been a pleasant experience. So, paranoid as I am, i'm hoping my posts don't fall into this category? Regards TEl

I totally agree with this mac.
But I am going to take the opportunity to point out what I think.
You are referencing Pete and the WATRB board WAY too often. I do not go there to post or even read. I had a look at it and didn't like it so I don't go there. What I don't understand is why you bother getting involved? I know there is bad blood and opinions on either side are very critical but in the past I have seen you turn the other cheek and try and be magnanimous. These days there seems to be some little reference, joke or jibe every day and sometimes several times a day. To these impartial eyes many of those comments look like you are purposefully goading.
Don't be knocked back, you do a great job and it is very much appreciated but you are getting this forum bogged down in a lot of irrelevant bullshit. You ought to stop it as I for one find it degrades the value of the forum.

Are you in love Mac? That very last comment suggests something more than meets the eye!
Terry, I too am looking forward to your next expose. The last two addressed some extremely interesting points of which I hope the club actually now review and impliment some of them.
Fowl, fair call on speaking up and as you can see, no ban points, just Mac telling you a response. I am sure your point has been taken on board by all concerned. What also interests me are the comments on sites such as LFW, Vital and Indyr's - They always seem pretty popular places to also visit for alternative points of view.
Each and every fan website has it's own distinctive view/layout and ideology about QPR. Some amusing, some sad, some very funny, but all I think are quite genuine. Ooooops sorry, i am ranting. I shall stop now.

Mac invited the comment with this thread and has taken it on the chin with remarkable grace.
It's inevitable that one day I will be in a similar or probably much worse situation and I just hope I can live up to the "mac" standard.

PS: I should clarify my comment. I meant the comments written on this site about those other sites seem positive. I think users of this site are a more mature age group that appreciates the work those other sites also do.

CPR, Thank you for that mate. I may look like i'm attention seeking (Trust me..it's not my way.) All the moderators on this board, I have found to be fantastic.. (Lonegunman & I had little row when I was new to the board, and we sorted it in private. I was 100% wrong, and lone has always made great points.. that was my first & last squabble with a moderator, I was a dick and lone knows his stuff... and he usually agrees me, that's the real reason only joking Bruv) This is the only board I post on, and the moderators actually get involved, with obvious knowledge. My posts can be few & far between, but at the moment, i'm writing 2 books at once. One is a QPR book, and I have noticed Mac's (Sorry lads, but I don't know your names.) interest and knowledge about the early day's of the Club. Not my strong point, for me, QPR started in March 1966 (No, you don't say Tel , and ends around our last 'Golden Era' of Wegerle, Ferdinand, Wilkins, Sinclair & Sinton.) My knowledge is up to date, but for me we have not seen the REAL QPR, and our ultra entertaining style, that was our trademark, or the characters like Stan, Rod, Lazarus & Wegers since. As Gerry Francis put it " Except for our own fans, other supporters would come & watch us because they knew it wouldn't be boring, we seemed to be every other fans second favourite team." I also think, that (touch Hoop) that's why despite being in a rough, working class area of West London... QPR has never had a hooligan reputation, and the trouble I have seen is not worth mentioning! I honestly think, that people go to Loftus Road (Or used to, especially in the Stan, Rod, Tony, Gerry, Roy eras.) actually to ENJOY GREAT FOOTBALL! Sounds stupid, but I have been to other Clubs V other Clubs with 3/4 of their 'FANS' who had their back to the pitch, trying to provoke the other fans.... AND THEY PAID FOR THAT!!! I really think, WE , our fans are not interested in anything in those 90mins- than the football!! Trust me, some rough diamonds come from West London, BUT are completely mesmerized by what's happening on the pitch!! With the players I have mentioned, turn around once... and you could of missed magic! When I get there, I may be asking the moderators & the obviously learned posters, to help me out with the 1950's especially if they will accept? (They will be credited in the book.) You may have noticed, I don't bulls**t, and a lot of things are not great, but you have a right to know. NO FANS = NO CLUB! I don't understand anyone trying to provoke the moderators, as they are very learned Hoops, and always add something valid to posts... in affect, their ' the Lads' just like us all. But they have my respect, and if i'm told one of my posts is not appropriate... I will go with the advice. As I say, they are learned Hoops, I assume do this for nothing but the love & concern of OUR Club.... and deserve respect. People, will also no I don't ar** lick either, so I stand with the moderator lads. Attachments:

Terry you again touch on a significant point. In that 60's & 70's era, QPR did have a reputation for not only playing entertaining football (maybe not the late 70's) but having fans that appreciated other teams coming here and also entertaining.
As much as I dislike them, Man United alway came and attacked - even when they lost 4-0 at LR. Everton, what can I say? one year we hammer them and the next, they dealt to us. I love watching the footage from the 60's. Massive crowds that went home entertained and I never heard of any trouble in the various material I have read. Of course i was not there then, but plenty of fans on here were. They have not mentioned it. Perhaps is now a time for them to tell us those types of stories if things were not as rosey as we think.
It's not that as fans we are an elite group superior to other clubs & their fans, but QPR fans are an appreciative group. Ready to acknowledge and admit when we have been played off the pitch. West Ham fans used to be similar but that all changed in the late 70's with their "crews" etc. Or am I wrong on that point? Someone feel free to correct me. With time perhaps I try to remember only that what was good. I can't even remember 1986. I know something happened but not what.
2 books at once, that's damn hard work. I look forward to the results Terry. You and others on here visiting or living in the Bush during a period of time that was magnificant and not just for the football. Me? I was stuck in Conservationists nervana - New Zealand.

Well from my own point of view i let most go but a few times now the same old mud is chucked about me by the same lot and when people are willing to come on here and say you are a person thats hate people as in youre a bigot, and so on i feel you have the right then to come back to that as i did wait and see if the mods would deal with it and i was fine that they must have felt i could deal with it and show that was as always just a person trying to smear. So, in my mind all is ok and this board is a great debate site and long may that be the case. No one in life is always right. And also in life the truth is the light of all our darkness.
And im off to get some birthday cider.........Yasser

It is a classic photo of a classic team mate. You can buy similar for about £2.99 on E-bay... printed signatures though. Personally, being sexy, stunning, thonged and oiled all over, in a full lat bicep pose.... have an original hand signed version....

Ha Ha Ha Brilliant. Once again. This thread is a perfect example of why this site works so well. Every post is worth a read. Blantanfowl a point well made by you. Macmoish, taken well and responded with great maturity. I have a lot of respect for the people who post on here and I'm happy to sit back and just enjoy reading the debates. The fact that Tel and Lone got off on the wrong foot and have resolved it like they have is excellent and a credit to both of them. Well done all. Increase the peace.
