50 Years ago
- August 12, 1972: QPR's Promotion Winning "Total Football" season began With a 2-2 draw at Swindon. (Followed by a 4-2 (4-0 at HT) home win against Sheffield Wednesday. QPR's only signing in the Summer: Don Givens (Rodney Marsh of course having left in March 1972 and Stan Bowles not being signed till September 1972)

With the following season my favourite times of watching Rangers.

went to all them games, opening game of the season at Swindon the difference in the sides was Don Rogers, who single-handedly got Swindon a point, in truth it was men against boys at Derby who at the time were a top side, was my most fervent then and missed only about 8 games that season

42 Years ago today...
And people too often forget Gordon Jago's massive role in the foundation of 1975/76 (It was basically Jago's team in 1975/76 with addition of Hollins and Masson - and last signing Webb)
And fact that BEFORE Bowles & Thomas arrived, QPR were still playing brilliant football in those early weeks of 1972/73
