I have always rated Bradley Orr think he will be a a great aquisition if we finalise the deal this week but what price is the going rate ! Originally papers said 1/2 million , read somewhere today Sun Star or somewhere that deal is 1 million , personally still think hes worth that ! Reading after Nicky Hunt as replacement !

Coppell's view re Orr Bristol Evening Post, (from Monday) "...Although Coppell is refusing to name names, the anticipated new arrival is intended as a replacement for Queens Park Rangers-bound Bradley Orr, who is expected to join the London outfit on Wednesday. Orr was omitted from the squad for Saturday's pre-season friendly at Aldershot. The long-serving right-back bade farewell to City supporters and referred to " an offer I could not refuse" on his Facebook page. Paul Hartley is also set to leave after Scottish Premier League club Hearts formally announced their interest in re-signing the 33-year-old midfielder. Hartley has agreed terms with the club and will be allowed to leave Ashton Gate on a free transfer with a year of his contract to run. Coppell said: "We have more or less finalised details on a move and it looks as though Bradley will be leaving the club. That is why I could not include him against Aldershot on Saturday." Bradley is the type of player I would love to stay at the club, but he has a seed in his mind that he wants a new challenge and he has a year left on his contract, which makes the club very vulnerable. I would never doubt anything he has done for me in pre-season, but he really wants a fresh challenge...." www.thisisbristol.co.uk/news/City-set-sign-striker-Stead/article-2454301-detail/article.html

Real one now. but we havent done one for a long time? alright bend over drop your pants. good. Heart. beating. Pass. ;D ;D ;D ;D Slightly off topic but, that reminded me of when I was an apprentice motor mechanic in Alperton London me ol' mucker. Some bloke brought his mini in for an MOT. The boss had got wind that DOT was checking up on MOT stations so he insisted we do a full test. I was only an apprentice but was told to check the headlights with the Lucas Beamsetter. Nobody knew how to use it as it was only a tea/coffee stand in thew workshop. Poor bloke only came in coz he'd hard it was a pretty lenient garage, his minin failed when the mechanic rammed a chisel through the subframe poor bloke. Sorry about that, carry on chaps. ;D

Three Year Deal Sky Orr heading to QPR Full-back moves to Loftus Road on a three-year deal Last updated: 29th July 2010 ... Orr: QPR move ..Skysports.com understands that QPR have signed full-back Bradley Orr from Bristol City. The 27-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with the West London club after passing a medical to move to Loftus Road. Orr leaves the Robins after six years at the club, where he received great acclaim and was named in the 2007/08 Championship team of the season. The former Everton trainee had only one year remaining on his current deal and was thought to be keen on pursuing a new challenge after moving to Ashton Gate in 2004. City boss Steve Coppell confirmed on Monday that Orr was heading for the exit door and thanked him for his services to the club. www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6285188,00.html

Well that's why you shouldn't give medicals. We avoided that problem with Sturridge. No one could call him "Didn't fail a medical" Sturridge

Heard a rumour that Stewart has gone in the opposite direction as part of the Orr deal.
Don't know how true this is....

I saw a couple of posts on WATRB and elsewhere citing some other Fan site saying that would be happening. I respect Coppell's player assessment abilities

I suppose we will see this on the Offy at some stage...
Or, we can always look out for the "Win £5 for guessing the time Orr is announced" thread on "The MK Dons of QPR websites" (Love that Dave!). Though we will have to wait for the copy to be posted......

Hm, could the reason for holdup of the confirmation of Orr's transfer be that Stewart has to sign the deal/made a medical yet with Bristol City and the teams want to announce it as a trade?

QPR Official Site July 30, 2010
EXCLUSIVE: ORR IS A RANGERFri 30 Jul 2010 Neil Warnock has secured his sixth signing of the summer with the capture of highly-rated defender Bradley Orr. The 27 year-old full-back has penned a four year contract at Loftus Road, after Rangers agreed an undisclosed fee with Bristol City for his services. Orr brings a wealth of experience to the table, having made over 200 appearances for the Robins, whom he joined in 2004. Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Orr revealed his delight at putting pen to paper on the deal in W12, commenting: "It's a great relief to be here, because I've wanted this move ever since I became aware of QPR's interest some time ago. "It was an easy decision to make and that's not being disrespectful to City - I've just got a great feeling about QPR and the ambition that is here to achieve things. "My number one aim is to achieve my lifetime ambition of playing Premier League football and I genuinely believe I can do that here. "The whole place is geared up for success. The Manager, the players, the staff - it's a Club on the up as far as I'm concerned." Warnock was equally as pleased to clinch the services of the right-sided defender, adding: "I'm absolutely delighted to be adding a player of Bradley's quality to the squad. "It's vitally important to have a strong back-line and Bradley gives us another option in that area. "I've always thought he's one of the best full-backs in this division and he chips in with his fair share of goals too. "I've persevered for quite some time to get him here and I couldn't be more delighted." Orr - who is likely to make his full debut for the R's against Plymouth Argyle in friendly action tonight (Friday) - will wear the number 2 shirt. www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2105131,00.html DEPARTS Jan 29, 2012 at 8:08am Dave McIntyre/West London Sport Defender Orr set for Loftus Road exit Defender Bradley Orr has been made available by QPR ahead of the transfer deadline. The 29-year-old was told prior to Neil Warnock’s sacking as manager that his future probably lay elsewhere. And with the signing of Nedum Onuoha having pushed him further down the pecking order, Orr will be allowed to leave Loftus Road either on a permanent basis or on loan if an offer is made. Warnock’s successor Mark Hughes placed a temporary block on players leaving the club in order to assess his squad, but has now paved the way for Orr to move on. Two Championship clubs have shown an interest in the full-back, who joined Rangers from Bristol City in the summer of 2010 in what was effectively an exchange deal involving Damion Stewart. He played over 250 times for City during six years at Ashton Gate and has made 39 league appearances for QPR, six of them coming this season. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/defender-orr-set-for-loftus-road-exit/BBC - Marcus Olsson and Bradley Orr join Blackburn From the section Football Blackburn have signed forward Marcus Olsson from Swedish side Halmstads BK and defender Bradley Orr from QPR, both on two-and-a-half-year deals. Olsson, 23, arrived on a free transfer joining his twin brother Martin at Ewood Park, while 29-year-old Orr joined for an undisclosed fee. "I think the age he's at gives us a little bit more experience in that position," Kean said of right-back Orr. "Bradley will bring us experience and another option." Orr joined QPR in the summer of 2010 and played a key role in the R's promotion to the Premier League, but he has managed just eight appearances this season. Olsson, who can play on the wing or up front, had a trial with Blackburn in 2005, at the same time as his brother, but was not signed. He earned his first caps for Sweden this month, playing in friendlies against Bahrain and Qatar and scored 17 goals in 139 appearances during a four-year period at Halmstads BK. Martin Olsson, who signed for Blackburn when he was 17, is already an established Premier League player and a regular for the Swedish national side too.
