FAMILY FUN DAY IN W12! Posted on: Tue 27 Jul 2010 The Club is pleased to confirm details of our latest Family Fun Day at Loftus Road, as the countdown to the new campaign continues in W12. We will be holding our summer spectacular this Sunday at Loftus Road - and we want you to be part of it! This is the perfect opportunity for you to get closer to the action, as Neil Warnock puts the R's First Team squad through their paces ahead of the 2010/11 npower Championship season opener against Barnsley six days later. Both players and staff will be on hand throughout the day to sign autographs and pose for photos, whilst the appearance of our Club mascot, Spark, is sure to whet the appetite of the Junior Hoops in attendance. There'll be all the usual fun and games, including facepainters, Wii Pods, caricaturists, balloon artists, player meet-and-greets and much, much more! Entrance for the event is free for all Season Ticket holders and Members. Doors will open at approximately 10.45am. Thanks for your continued support - and come on you R's! www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2077976,00.html

And Flashback to Open Day, Eleven Years Ago ....
QPR Official Site August 2, 1999
OPEN DAY DELIGHT
THE RANGERS Open Day was a resounding success with some 5000 R's fans visiting the event at the Gurnell Leisure Centre.
R's director of football Gerry Francis was thrilled with the turn-out. He said:" Over the years, we've had some great Open Days and this has been another great day for the players and the fans.
"I've gone on record many times about the supporters at Rangers. Certainly the support they have given me as a player here and then as manager has been much appreciated.
"To be perfectly honest, the fans pulled us through to keep us up last season. You can't thank the supporters enough from that point of view.
"At the end of the day, the fans' concern and worry is Queens Park Rangers. They pay their money to come and watch the team every year. Good, bad and indifferent. And they are what real fans are all about.
"Some 18,500 turned out against Crystal Palace in the last game of the season, so it shows that there are a lot of people who care about the club and who were prepared to come along on that day to give their support and help keep us up.
"It turned out that it was a great day for everybody and let's hope there are more to come."
THE reserves drew 0-0 at Conference club Dover on Saturday. It was another good result with a number of trialists involved.
Manager Des Bulpin was undefeated with two wins and a draw against good quality non-League opposition in the pre-season build-up.
