Espanyol striker Ben Sahar is set to return to Israel on a one-year loan deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv, the Spanish club's sporting director confirmed.

Israel international Sahar, 20, came through the ranks at Hapoel before joining Chelsea in 2006 without requiring a work permit due to his Polish heritage.
He was unable to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge and - after loan spells at Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and De Graafschap in the Netherlands - joined the Barcelona-based side for £1 million last summer.
But he only managed one Liga goal last season and Espanyol official Ramon Planes admitted that Sahar needed to play regularly to find his feet.
"Hapoel have been very insistent about taking him and we are holding conversations with them to see what is best for the player," Planes said. "We will have a meeting soon and (Sahar) has told me that he wants to be able to continue growing - and to play.
"He knows that it is a very important time in his career."
Planes made it clear that the club view Sahar as an important player for the future, and that they will only consider a loan deal, not a transfer.
"Right now the conditions of the bid have not convinced us - we are going to defend our rights. Our option is only to loan this player, because he has the potential to improve."
