Never saw Rodney play for QPR. Stan was my hero. Not sure who did more for QPR but 1 League Cup/Promotions vs Div 1 Runners up/Europe, probably on balance I'd say Stan's influence and achievement was greater.

Rodney put QPR on the footballing map and made the ten shirt special. We believed we would never see anything like him ever again. How lucky were we to find that stroppy manc renegade lost at carlisle eh! ;D Stan is the Man, Rod is the God. Between them they made the ten shirt special. Spoke to Marsh on a Sky phone in and saw him with George Best. Used to drink with Bowles in a few pubs with Shanks during his player days and later in the Smuts. He owes me at least a dozen drinks! Impossible to split them really as players, as a person it's Stan for me, simply because I was lucky enought to socialise with him. Both heroes but Rod put us on the map, if pushed and punched I would err on the side of him. Edit: Whilst drinking with Stan it was compulsory to tell him Rodney was better!
