QPR Chasing Ched Evans...Lee Cook Obstacle...Watson, Di Carmine and GorkssHopes
Ben Kosky/Kilburn Times - Good Evans! Rangers chasing Ched
QPR have turned their attention to Manchester City hotshot Ched Evans after failing to persuade Bobby Zamora to drop down to the Championship.Rangers are keen to snap up 19-year-old Evans, whose goals played a vital role in saving Norwich from relegation last season, on a loan deal.
But they face competition from several Championship rivals, including the Canaries - for whom Evans netted 10 goals in 20 starts, the last of them in the 3-0 win over Rangers that secured their safety.
West Ham striker Zamora had been considering a loan move to Loftus Road, but would prefer to remain in the Premiership and has now attracted interest from Fulham.
The Cottagers are favourites to sign the out-of-favour Zamora - and are also obstructing another of QPR's wide-reaching transfer ambitions, the proposed return of Lee Cook.
Rangers have attempted to re-sign Cook three times since they sold the winger for 2.5m last summer, but Fulham are refusing to let the winger leave without recouping the full fee they paid.
Cook has not played a first-team game for the Cottagers and spent the end of last season on loan at Charlton in an attempt to regain match fitness.
It seems, though, that the Rs' frenzied attempts to swell their squad before the start of pre-season training will bear fruit, with Fiorentina frontman Samuel Di Carmine set to agree a season-long loan deal.
And the club moved a step closer to success in their pursuit of Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson after the Eagles signed Bristol City playmaker Nick Carle this week.
Rangers had a 1.5m bid for Watson rejected last month, but the player has refused to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park and manager Neil Warnock has earmarked Carle as a replacement.
And Watson's previous association with new QPR boss Iain Dowie makes Loftus Road his most likely destination - even though Palace chairman Simon Jordan is reluctant to sell any player to his former manager.
Meanwhile, Rangers have declined to comment on Blackpool's decision to report them to the FA and the Football League, accusing the Londoners of an illegal approach for defender Kaspars Gorkss.
However, it is understood that the Latvian international will put pen to paper for the Rs next week, when the first-team squad report back to Harlington for pre-season training. Kilburn Times

Moreno Roggi, speaks of the fourthcoming transfer of Fiorentina's jewels Samuel Di Carmine, facing the the position of Giandomenico Mesto. "Actually I think that there is a strong interest for QPR. Within this week should close. The boy is so happy of his choice. They where so fast, showing more interest of other teams. Then they start for the first July the training. The championship start in August, was a necessity, I think that will do a loan with right of ransom of half property. Is one of the greatest talents of Fiorentina. In Mesto are interested Fiorentina and Sampdoria, we will see. Morrone has several offers, as Paci, that Lazio want, and others boys of Parma. But I don't think that they will risk to lose him.
