From Carlisle's site, but applies to all clubs.
- Have players increased in size so much?
Carlisle - DRESSING ROOM CHANGES
The Football League meeting held at Pride Park prior to Christmas threw the spotlight on a number of issues that member clubs will now have to deal with.
Among the improvements in 'behind-the-scenes' matchday facilities that are required is an increase in the size of player dressing rooms.
Managing Director John Nixon said: "The players dressing rooms have to be a minimum of 18 square metres in size at the moment.
"The new guidelines state that this will need to be increased to 24 square metres. In addition they must have six baths or showers, at least two urinals and two WC's, a massage table, a tactical board and a non-slip floor."
Clubs have been given five years to meet that standard, but Mr Nixon confirmed: "We should be fine with the new measurement.
"We already comply with both our home and away areas, but we have seen some grounds where there will be extensive work to be done. In some cases completely new buildings may be required if these measurements are to be met."
Further dressing room enhancements will be required for the Match Officials area, also with a five-year completion window.
Mr Nixon said: "The Referee and his team are often given small changing areas, so the Football League have decided that needs to be rectified.
"Again they will have to be provided with a bath or shower, a wash basin, a WC and a non-slip floor covering. This is an area that we will have to assess to make sure that we do comply, as there is also the issue of female match officials to be considered. However, it shouldn't need too much work on our part, so it's not one that we are too worried about."
