FULHAM midfielder Zoltan Gera's former agent has been banned from football for six months.
A Football Association Regulatory Commission took away Sam Stapleton's licence for 18 months, with 12 months suspended for two years, and fined him £75,000 after finding him guilty of two breaches of rules.
They ruled that Stapleton acted for Gera in contract renegotiation talks with West Bromwich Albion in 2008 without having a contract with the player.
He then worked for Fulham when they signed the Hungary international later that year, without telling Fulham he had previously helped Gera.
In the course of the hearing it was revealed that West Brom fell out with Gera's registered agent, Serb Vladan Filpovic, after they discovered that a chunk of the transfer fee they paid Ferencvaros for the player in 2004 had been passed on to Filpovic without their knowledge.
