MEDIA GUIDELINES 2010/2011

BARNSLEY Football Club have today issued the following guidelines for all press organisations wishing to attend first team matches at Oakwell Stadium.
FIRST TEAM MATCHES AT OAKWELL STADIUM
1.1 All media accreditation requests for first team matches at Oakwell must be submitted via the Football DataCo i-PBS booking system (www.football-dataco.com/index.htm) no later than 48 hours prior to the fixture.
1.2 All members of the media attending fixtures at Oakwell will need to ensure they are registered with Football DataCo to attend matches with all organisations required to gain a login account from Football DataCo before they can use the system.
1.3 Every organisation wishing to attend a first team match must apply for their accreditation via the Football DataCo i-PBS booking system (www.football-dataco.com/index.htm) no later than 48 hours prior to the fixture.

1.4 No pass - no admission. Every member of the press must have an accredited match day pass.
1.5 No name - no pass. Organisations must provide names of who is attending when applying for accreditation.
1.6 All passes must be collected from Main Reception prior to the game. Upon collection, accredited members of the press will be given a match day programme and any relevant information from the Media Department. All press passes must be displayed at all times and must be presented to stewards when requested.
1.7 No passes or matchday programmes will be available from the Benny Hill Media Suite (West Stand) at Oakwell.
1.8 Team sheets will be available from the Benny Hill Media Suite (West Stand) at Oakwell around 45 minutes prior to kick off although a photocopied team sheet from each dressing room is normally provided before this.
1.9 Access to the tunnel area at Oakwell is strictly prohibited without express permission and accreditation from the Media Department. Any member of the press found in the tunnel area without the correct identification and accreditation can expect to be moved back to the Benny Hill Media Suite (West Stand). Failure to do so may result in ejection from the stadium.
1.10 Following the game both managers will be brought to the Benny Hill Media Suite (West Stand) by the media officers from both clubs. Members of the press must remain in the Benny Hill Media Suite (West Stand) at this time.
1.11 Player requests must be made to either the media officer from both Clubs. Arrangements will then be made. Barnsley FC players will attend post match press conferences at the First Team Manager's discretion.
1.12 TV interviews for rights holders will take place in the tunnel and the relevant accreditation must be shown.
1.13 All other media interviews following the conclusion of the match must take place in the Benny Hill Media Suite (West Stand). No interviews are permitted pitchside or in and around the tunnel area.
RESERVE TEAM AND ACADEMY MATCHES
2.1 All media accreditation requests for non-first team matches at Oakwell Stadium must be made via e-mail to website@barnsley.co.uk no later than 48 hours prior to the fixture. Media arrangements will be confirmed at the time of application.
MEDIA INTERVIEWS AND PRESS CONFERENCES
3.1 All media requests for interviews regarding footballing and non-footballing matters must be made in writing via e-mail through Barnsley Football Club's Head of Media (website@barnsleyfc.co.uk).
3.2 Requests for player and or coaching staff interviews will only be granted after acceptance by the First Team Manager. Unsolicited interviews are not to be undertaken with any member of the playing and or coaching staff.
3.3 Requests for non-footballing staff and / or Academy staff will be granted at the discretion of the General Manager, Head of Media and / or relevant department head.
3.4 Academy scholars are not normally permitted to do media interviews unless such a request has been agreed with the Academy Manager.
3.5 Pre-match press conferences will normally be held on Thursday lunchtime prior to a Saturday match and on Monday's ahead of a midweek fixture. Exact times and locations will be confirmed on the Official Barnsley Football Club Website ahead of this. Players will attend press conferences at the First Team Manager's discretion.
3.6 Barnsley Football Club reserves the right to refuse entry to press conferences should this be deemed in the Club's interest.
3.7 No unauthorised video or TV recording of pre-match press conferences is allowed unless by a Football League broadcast rights holder. Recording press conferences for broadcast online is strictly prohibited unless prior agreement has been reached with Barnsley Football Club and / or the Football League.
