EXCLUSIVE: QPR APPOINT GLOBAL AMBASSADOR Queens Park Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Yuko Yamazaki as our Global Ambassador. The appointment, which brings a multi-million pound investment in to the Club, is for a three year term and will see Mrs. Yamazaki represent the Club as a Global Ambassador in the Far East. "Queens Park Rangers Football Club is a unique opportunity and I'm convinced Mrs. Yamazaki is the right individual to position the Club within the Far East market. "This is a first for QPR and shows the appetite the Club has, not only domestically, but globally too." Mrs. Yamazaki said: "I have had the pleasure of knowing Flavio Briatore for many years and it is a privilege to be associated with his new brand at QPR. "I'm thoroughly looking forward to working with Flavio, Bernie Ecclestone and the Mittal Family on this exciting adventure and I thank them for approaching me to assist the Club. "QPR is a magical opportunity and I'm really excited about the prospect of building the brand in the Far East and maximising the opportunities that I believe are available." My cousin lives in Japan teaching English and a good friend lived in S.Korea until recently doing the same and I asked both to keep an eye out for all of this.
Nothing.
Ever.
They in fact wet themselves when I told them about this. The only way you will get people interested over there is if you are successful. Even then it is extremely difficult. In Japan for example they only show a brief clip of a Japanese player playing in a foreign league and often don't even bother giving out the score. The whole thing was a load of betty swallocks from the start.

If you knew how to find players of the required quality. If you knew how to forge them together into a team. If you had some idea how to develop a system and a style of play, and procedures for dealing with each new challenge, every possible adversity.
Would you even have the TIME to appoint a Global Ambassador, let alone any interest in doing so?
You redesign the badge, make sure the chef can cook, and the mascot is the wrong one - all of the above because you don't even know where to start.
So when it comes to the football, the players can't even pass the ball. The better players aren't even our players. And you lose £18 million of the Club's money on one relegation battle, fighting another relegation battle the following season, while our former manager, too humble to live in this exalted company, sits on the edge of the play-offs.

Not forgetting your choice of manager (one of the few choices that were right) sits in the playoff places.

yet another example of where it went wrong with these clowns.
They didn't have a clue and in a situation like that they meddled with the small things, so as to give the illusion that they were actually doing something, whilst ignoring the big things totally.

Thing is. As I understand it. She put money INTO the club... And I guess gets paid back some other way. I don't understand exactly how I don't see where you are getting the idea that she personally put money into the club. If you are referring to this paragraph: 'The appointment, which brings a multi-million pound investment in to the Club, is for a three year term and will see Mrs. Yamazaki represent the Club as a Global Ambassador in the Far East.' then I think you are assuming incorrectly that she has put that money in, where it is to me stating the future potential of the appointment as in what she will do by attracting further partners/sponsors and is typical of the bullshit used by snake oil salesmen such as Briatore and a genuine snapshot of the spin used by the club during his tenure, written in a style to deliberately confuse it's actual meaning.

That's how I read it too Mark. I thought she was going to attempt to attract some wealthy Asian investment, not put any money in. Trouble is, what has she attracted? Has anyone seen or heard from her? Is the club recompensing her for her time??

Perhaps she invested some of her cash hoping to make a profit and lost out?

Its happening.
Four years too late, but finally bringing in people who actually care about QPR instead of building entertainment empires.
Just hope we get Bardsley involved in some capacity now.
