Crystal Palace administrators ban Victor Moses from playing against Newcastle in bid to safeguard £3m-rated star
Victor Moses has been barred from playing for Crystal Palace against Newcastle United.
Administrators appointed to rescue the debt-laden club have ordered the promising winger not to turn out against the Championship leaders at St James' Park in what appears to be a move to safeguard the highly prized asset.
Moses has attracted interest from Manchester City, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and others during the transfer window and will almost certainly seal a move in the next few days.

The 19-year-old's agent Tony Finnegan he was stunned by the latest development adding there was no chance Moses would be at the club come the start of next month.
Asked whether Moses will still be at the club once the transfer window closes
on Monday, Finnegan said: 'No chance. No way. There's no chance of that. If you're pulled out of a match, and that's your job, you're pulled out for a reason. They're going to be selling.
'Victor was stunned by the news, he was getting ready to play, but he's one of the most saleable assets in the squad so it's obviously been done to protect him. It means a deal is probably imminent with regards to him being sold.'
Palace hope to bank about £3million from his sale. The London club fell into administration on Tuesday and face a 10-point penalty, plunging them from the fringe of the Championship play-offs into a relegation battle.
Among various other creditors, it is understood that Palace owe financial firm Agilo in the region of £5m, while the club was due in court today over a £1.2m tax bill payable to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.
Palace raised £1.2m from the sale of Portuguese central defender Jose Fonte to Southampton earlier this month.
