Thought he had a decent game today especially for someone who has not played a first team game for a while and out of position on the left so had to keep cutting back inside onto his right to lay the ball off.
Great pass to Dyer for the goal, after he was switched over to the right and a solid debut in an otherwise uninspiring game.

The only abuse he should cop ...and any other QPR player (Except Barton cause he's just a head case on & off the pitch anyway) is for their effort on the pitch if it's sucked.
Why do so many people use Twotter? I have yet to hear or read anything positive about it.

I am pleased to hear he had a decent game and may he prove me wrong. But if I have a go at him, it will be because of his football and perhaps any attitude (See remark about Barton) towards the game, club and fans.
There is no need for Racism, Anti-Semitism (Spelling?) at our club nor on these MB's.

I'm not sure I'm using the QPR Facebook site properly -
There are the official threads started by the club. And then you can start your own thread. I posted something a couple of hours on my own thread I started. And someone responded. But I don't see it now on the Facebook page. So how does one go looking for it? So is there I'm doing

My facebook a/c is linked to my smart phone so I get all the official QPR facebook news on my smartphone. If I'm not watching the game - or it isn't being shown here then I use the officla QPR f/b page to keep track of the match.
Reading some of those comments I can confirm that there have been a lot of "fans' who have aimed anti semitic comments aimed at Ben Haim and the state of Israel - and that those comments appear whenver his name appears on the official QPR f/b page. On Saturday when he came on as sub and was announced as such on f/b the comments that some people made were pretty shocking and had nothing to do with football and all about the fact that he is Jewish and from Israel.
One comment wnt along the lines of "how long can Taarabt live playing alongside a Jew". And that was one of the mildest comments. Of course some fans retaliate with their own inane comments and before you know it you have a cultural and religious war on QPR's official f/b page where nobody mentions the football.
Many fans - including me - have told these "fans" to go and support other clubs if they feel that inclined, while others have urged the club to delete these comments. To be fair to the club these moronic comments are deleted very quickly - but of course the next time his name is mentioned it starts all over again.
I think many of these fans are from Indonesia and greater SE Asia region and obvipously the Gulf region but to be truthful I don't think many of them are QPR fans at all - just here to stir their own racial shit. It's pretty shocking.

Really wish these people would just crawl back under whatever rock they surfaced from. Hate the thought that I probably queued up next to them whilst getting into the ground or sat next to them during a match.

I very much doubt that ckat. I would say these people have no idea where Loftus Road even is. Like I said and Philip these are far eastern "fans" and the fans is in quotes for the very reason that that is precisely what they are not.

This is a tentative observation...and I'm not a regular viewer of QPR Facebook posts...
Don't want to be hypersensitive; and I don't think I am being: But I just don't see the messageboard buzz of outrage - really not even mentioning the attacks on Ben Haim - on the other QPR boards that I think (and certainly would hope would see) if there were racist or anti-Muslims posts on the QPR Facebook page.
Not too surprised, to be honest. But somewhat disappointed.

Might have been a good opportunity to slip in a condemnation of those comments QPR OFFICIAL SITE
HARRY: TOUGH ON TALRedknapp forced to play Ben Haim out of position versus WBA. R'S BOSS Harry Redknapp admitted he was forced to play Tal Ben Haim out of position against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, with no other left backs available to him. Armand Traore (injured) and Fabio (ineligible) have jostled for that position throughout the campaign to date, but with both unavailable, Redknapp was forced to play the Israeli on the left hand side of defence in the R’s FA Cup third round tie. "It was tough on Tal to be honest,†Redknapp told www.qpr.co.uk. "I had to play him at left back when he's all right sided, so that was obviously difficult for him. "He was played completely out of position - I knew that - but we had no other options. Traore was injured and Fabio couldn't play for us in the Cup so I had to throw him in there. "It left us no balance really, but to be fair to him he kept going and he's got his debut under his belt now, so he’ll be happy with that." www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/080113-harry-tough-on-tal-585398.aspx

Quick on the Uptake...here's come The Sun. The Sun/Paul Jiggins
Facebook trolls target R’s ace TalQPR’S new signing Tal Ben Haim has been bombarded with anti-Semitic insults — on the club’s OFFICIAL Facebook page. The R’s have been forced to ‘block’ people who abused the 30-year-old Israeli defender following his arrival on a free transfer last week. One Facebook troll asked how the club’s Moroccan star Adel Taarabt can “live playing alongside a Jew?”. A genuine QPR supporter said on the site: “On Saturday, when Tal came on as sub and it was announced on Facebook, some comments were shocking and had nothing to do with football. “Many of them are from Indonesia, the greater South East Asia region and the Gulf region. “I don’t think many of them are QPR fans — they’re just here to stir their own racial s***.” A club spokesman said: “We are banning all posters who post anti-Semitic comments.” www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4737546/Tal-Ben-Haim-suffers-torrent-of-race-abuse-on-QPRs-own-page.html
